The Council regulates the health professions in the country in aspects pertaining to registration, education and training, professional conduct and ethical behaviour, ensuring continuing professional development, and fostering compliance with healthcare standards.

Professional Boards


Five of the eight universities offering Radiography training in South Africa have started with the offering of the new four-year professional degrees. The three remaining universities are in the process of obtaining the required approval from the Board for Radiography and Clinical Technology as well as the Council for Higher Education (CHE).
