The Council regulates the health professions in the country in aspects pertaining to registration, education and training, professional conduct and ethical behaviour, ensuring continuing professional development, and fostering compliance with healthcare standards.

Annual fees
Below are the annual fees payable by persons registered in terms of the Health Professions Act No. 56 of 1974, shall be due and payable with effect from 1 April 2018.  Fees include 15% VAT rate

Registration fees
Registration fees are payable by persons to be registered in terms of the Health Professions Act No. 56 of 1974:
Registration fees by - 
(a) by a Health Practitioner 897.00
(b) by a student 301.00
(c) by a student for re-registration as a student after interruption of at least one year 173.00
(d) by a visiting student 950.00
(e) by a visiting student for re-registration after an interruption of at ! least one year 173.00
(f) by a student, as penalty, per month or part thereof, for the late submission of an application for registration 145.00
(g) by a health practitioner for registration of an additional qualification or additional professional category 347.00

NB: Registration fees are different from annual fees and are paid upon registration with HPCSA.
