The Health Professions Council of South Africa is a statutory body, established in terms of the Health Professions Act and is committed to protecting the public and guiding the professions.
The Department Support Services’ key strategic objectives are
To provide a facilities management system by way of maintaining Council's assets and ensure the upkeep of buildings;
To efficiently manage the internal and external mail service; and
To reproduce the bulk of Council's documents, including agendas and minutes for all committees and subcommittees as well as the Professional Boards.
Apart from managing its key objectives, the department continues its supportive role in other services which include coordinating the venue and tea services, rendering of stationery supplies and providing an administrative support to the tender committee.
